A pre-race sample was taken from Squirto.
Wings For Woody was quick to begin. Tiggerlong Ray and Cigars On Ice were slow to begin.
Cigars On Ice checked off On Billy's Wings approaching the first turn. Tiggerlong Ray checked off On Billy's Wings approaching the home turn and raced wide as a result. On Billy's Wings raced wide entering the home straight. Squirto and Chelsea Drogba collided in the home straight.
Meeting Comments :-
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Captain Abbott, the trainer of Consolidate, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Consolidate last raced on 27th January 2017. Mr Abbott stated that Consolidate was returning to race after a change of kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Consolidate trialled over the 410m from box one, weight 32.4kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 24.60, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2L. Consolidate was cleared.
