Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Cosmic Don.
May's Melody was slow to begin.
Cosmic Don crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Little Miss Emm, Darley Dollar, Carlanna Casey, Destini Laredo and Yeah Nah Bro. Destini Laredo and May's Melody collided approaching the home turn checking May's Melody and Yeah Nah Bro.
Carlanna Casey was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle and right quadriceps injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer's representative Mrs. K. Repia regarding the performance of Yeah Nah Bro. She agreed the performance was disappointing, but stated that the greyhound races best when able to obtain a leading position, and was not suited by racing in a midfield position after being hampered on the first turn in today's event. Stewards noted the explanation.
