A pre-race sample was taken from Clarence Clocka.

Due to a malfunction with the timing device the winning time for this race was amended.

Zelemar Cocoa and Clickin' Gears collided on the home turn, checking Zelemar Cocoa and Clickin' Gears, and severely checking Spy Miss. Zelemar Cocoa eased on the home turn. Allen Zero and Jetyra Eruption collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Zelemar Cocoa and Allen Zero collided entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds.

Spy Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Leigh Jennings, the trainer of the greyhound Zelemar Cocoa, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Zelemar Cocoa was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right hind toes, no veterinary stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Zelemar Cocoa with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Jennings pleaded guilty to the charge, Zelemar Cocoa was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
