The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Thumb A Ride and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6:04pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer I. Clarke was fined the sum of $100.

Invictus Legion and Straitline Will were slow to begin.  Colonel was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Why Not Archie, Ripplebrook Will and Invictus legion collided soon after the start.  Ripplebrook Will and Ice Senorita collided on the first turn, checking Ice Senorita.  Invictus Legion and Straitline Will collided on the first turn, checking Straitline Will.  Colonel galloped on the heels of Ice Senorita approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Ripplebrook Will and Invictus Legion collided approaching the home turn, checking Invictus Legion and Straitline Will.
