Jordy Paige was quick to begin. Kokoda Dreamin' and Oaklands collided soon after the start. Billiluna, Paula's Delight, Skibbo and Luke's Gift collided soon after the start., checking Luke's Gift. Kokoda Dreamin', Oaklands, Tat Toby and Jordy Paige collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Tat Toby and Oaklands, and Luke's Gift which tailed off. Skibbo and Jordy Paige collided on the first turn. Billiluna and Jordy Paige collided on the first turn. Paula's Delight and Oaklands collided on the first turn, checking Paula's Delight. Paula's Delight and Tat Toby collided approaching the home turn. Billiluna, Jordy Paige and Oaklands collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.
Luke's Gift was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tarsal facture of the left hock. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.
