Stewards spoke to K. Collyer, the kennel representative of Deadly Mabilis regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Deadly Mabilis last raced on 25th January, 2016. Ms Collyer stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel.

Kansas City checked off Seven Two approaching the home turn. Miss Giblet and Daisy Katie collided on the home turn. Deadly Mabilis raced wide on the home turn. Go Speaross and Cathy's Tiger were slow to begin. Abbewige Gold and Delcorn Potts were quick to begin. Abbewige Gold and Delcorn Potts collided approaching the home turn, checking Delcorn Potts. Re-Vetted Greyhound - Deadset Jet was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was cleared to race. 

Satisfactory Trial Results – Duomo Bale trialled over the 460m from box 1, weight 34.6kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 25.88, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.50 lengths. Duomo Bale was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results – Spooky Spook trialled over the 400m from box 8, weight 29.5kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 23.03, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.50 lengths. Spooky Spook was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results – Richard Shi Quee trialled over the 400m from box 1, weight 32.6kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 23.03, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 0.75 lengths. Richard Shi Quee was cleared.
