An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Larson which was an reserve in this event on 9 May, 2016 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Queen Elsa was quick to begin. Vegas Again was slow to begin. Jack's Miss, Carlanna Tegan, Mighty Duck, Queen Elsa, Nick, Kinloch Monty, Vegas Again and Patchie Kaye collided on the first turn, checking Carlanna Tegan, Mighty Duck and Nick. Queen Elsa checked off Patchie Kaye approaching the home turn, checking Mighty Duck, severely checking Queen Elsa and Kinloch Monty. Mighty Duck raced wide in the home straight. 

Stewards delayed the 'All Clear' to view footage of the home straight due to water spraying vertically from the lure carriage due to the track being watered just prior to the event. Stewards deemed no greyhound was effected by this and subsequently gave the 'All Clear.'

Sermon Allen was a late scratching at 1:25pm due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Limburg Princess and Why Not George were slow to begin. Limburg Princess checked off Stars And Bars approaching the first turn. Dream Of Gigi checked off Stars And Bars on the first turn. Miss Giblet and Dream Of Gigi collided on the first turn. Limburg Princess raced wide in the home straight. 

Light Of Liam was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Immo Com was quick to begin. Why Not Dawn was slow to begin. Baron Charie checked off Jesterday approaching the first turn. Callaway, Baron Charlie, Pretty Crazy and Jack's Lass collided approaching the home turn, checking Pretty Crazy and Baron Charlie. Callaway checked off Immo Com approaching the home turn. Immo Com and Why Not Dawn collided in the home straight. Pretty Crazy checked off Baron Charlie in the home straight. Immo Com and Why Not Dawn collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr C. Jackson, the trainer of Whipstick Chloe regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Whipstick Chloe last raced 12th of  January, 2016 and is returing to racing after being on season.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Rich Azz Yeew and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 3:04pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr S.Boag was fined the sum of $100.

Satisfactory Trial Results – Cosmic Kilby trialled over the 400m from box 2, weight 35.7kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.62, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 22.75 lengths. Cosmic Kilby was not cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms A.Dailly, the trainer of Usain I'm Nutty regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Usain I'm Nutty last raced on 21 May, 2015. Ms Dailly stated that sustained a hock injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Usain I'm Nutty trialled over the 400m from box 3, weight 30.8kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.62, the greyhound won by a margin of 3.75 lengths. Usain I'm Nutty was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results – Lettuce Hold On trialled over the 400m from box 8, weight 24.9kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.62, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.75 lengths. Lettuce Hold On was not cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results – Sierra trialled over the 460m from box 1, weight 26.4kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 26.32, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.75 lengths. Sierra was cleared.
