Steward's Report
Linny Morris was a late scratching at 2:46PM due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Selynya Kev was a late scratching at 6:37PM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Murray, the trainer of Champion Exhibit regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Champion Exhibit last raced on 25th February, 2016. Mr. Murray stated that Champion Exhibit is returning to racing from a flexor tendon injury.
A pre race sample was taken from Running Shadow upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Champion Exhibit was quick to begin. Zipping Vito was slow to begin.
Asa Barboza, Avatar Girl and Zipping Vito collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Asa Barboza and Running Shadow collided on the first turn checking Running Shadow and Claretown Louise, Running Shadow stumbled as a result. Asa Barboza checked off Zipping Vito on the home turn. Zipping Vito and Champion Exhibit collided entering the home straight. Avatar Girl checked off Claretown Louise in the home straight.
Asa Barboza was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
