A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Ringo upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Zipping Ringo was quick to begin.

Hogwarts Express, Old Bailey and Claretown Louie collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Molly Chapta checked off Claretown Boris approaching the home turn. Hogwarts Express and Limburg Ava collided approaching the home turn checking Limburg Ava. 

A sample was taken from Limburg Ava - unplaced in the event. 

The photo finish camera failed to capture an image for this event. The Judges referred to the back up system and confirmed the numbers 8, 1, 3 and 7. The All Clear was then given on the Judge's numbers.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Dontron a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Fruit Spice and Destini Wahoo were slow to begin.

Shytown Hussler checked off Dyna Peanut approaching the first turn. Zipping Sally and Tamar Beauty collided approaching the first turn. Fruit Spice checked off Dyna Peanut approaching the home turn checking Destini Wahoo. 

Shytown Hussler was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hamstrings. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Elsa Bale. 

Taz's Man was quick to begin.

Back Road and Flaming Elite collided soon after the start. Southwood Max, Baltic Valhalla and Limburg Frankie collided on the first turn checking Southwood Max and Baltic Valhalla. Back Road checked off Baltic Valhalla on the second turn. Baltic Valhalla and Taz's Man collided on the home turn. Taz's Man and Flaming Elite collided in the home straight. 

Limburg Frankie was vetted and revetted following race revetted race 4. It was reported that there was no apparent injury. 

A sample was taken from Baltic Valhalla placed fourth in the event. 

Matt Machine was slow to begin.

Receptive raced wide soon after the start. Ocean Bay and Argyle Lucifer collided soon after the start. Hone In, Ocean Bay and Argyle Lucifer collided on the first turn checking Hone In, Ocean Bay, Argyle Lucifer and Stellar Creek. Matt Machine and Argyle Lucifer collided approaching the home turn checking Argyle Lucifer and Stellar Creek. Perfect Rider and Argyle Lucifer collided approaching the home turn checking Argyle Lucifer. Perfect Rider and Argyle Lucifer collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Argyle Lucifer checked off Perfect Rider in the home straight. Perfect Rider and Ocean Bay collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. 

A sample was taken from Hone In - winner of the event. 

A pre race sample was taken from King Size Shambi. 

Kid Audacious was quick to begin. 

Two Tone, Willowvale Pearl, King Size Shambi and Oakstar collided soon after the start checking King Size Shambi and Two Tone. Two Tone, King Size Shambi and Willowvale Pearl collided approaching the first turn checking King Size Shambi and Willowvale Pearl. Tywin Bale and Kid Audacious collided on the first turn checking Kid Audacious. Willowvale Pearl checked off Kid Audacious approaching the home turn. Tywin Bale and Two Tone collided in the home straight. 

Shortly after the event the Judge inadvertantly Semaphored the numbers 2, 4, 3 and 6. This was soon rectified to the correct placings of 2, 4, 6 and 3. The All Clear was then given on the Judge's numbers. 

Kid Audacious was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left shoulder and right triceps. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dyna Irminus and Bronco De Jurer collided soon after the start. It's A Bird and Hanging In There collided soon after the start. Hanging In there crossed to the inside on the first turn checking It's A Bird, Astrology, Bronco De Jurer and Dyna Irminus. Bronco De Jurer checked off Dyna Irminus entering the back straight.

A sample was taken from Shima Song - winner of the event. 

A pre race sample was taken from Buck Forty. 

Lektra Uncut was a late scratching at 8:50PM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to split webbing of the left hind paw. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Mademoiselle and Ima Misha Doll collided entering the back straight. 

Mr G Dailly, the handler of Amaro Bale declared a new weight of 31.4 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Amaro Bale last raced at 30.0 kg's.

Pre race samples were taken from Pretty Boy Grigg and Fabstar. 

Samples were taken from Paua To Roar placed second, Asa Hard Knox placed third and Amaro Bale unplaced in the event. 

Linny Morris was a late scratching at 2:46PM due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Selynya Kev was a late scratching at 6:37PM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Murray, the trainer of Champion Exhibit regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Champion Exhibit last raced on 25th February, 2016. Mr. Murray stated that Champion Exhibit is returning to racing from a flexor tendon injury.

Champion Exhibit was quick to begin. Zipping Vito was slow to begin. 

Asa Barboza, Avatar Girl and Zipping Vito collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Asa Barboza and Running Shadow collided on the first turn checking Running Shadow and Claretown Louise, Running Shadow stumbled as a result. Asa Barboza checked off Zipping Vito on the home turn. Zipping Vito and Champion Exhibit collided entering the home straight. Avatar Girl checked off Claretown Louise in the home straight. 

Asa Barboza was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury. 

Aston Ryder was slow to begin. 

Filius Flitwick and Dyna Chaser collided soon after the start. Allen Zhara and Dyna Chaser collided in the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Filius Flitwick - unplaced in the event. 

The pre race sample taken from Swan To Steele was voided due to contimination of the control solution. A post race sample was taken from Swan To Steele.

Don Fire was slow to begin. 

Fawn Pursuit and Extradition collided approaching the first turn checking Extradition. Shimatron, Fawn Pursuit and Gawker Bale collided on the first turn checking Fawn Pursuit, Gawker Bale and Extradition. Gawker Bale and Mafalda Hopkirk collided approaching the home turn checking Fawn Pursuit and Extradition and severely checking Mafalda Hopkirk. Extradition checked off Fawn Pursuit on the home turn. Fawn Pursuit and Mafalda Hopkirk collided on the home turn.

Rhapsody Twist was quick to begin.

Spring Clarkie, Dragon Glass, Funky Pirate, Silver Salute and Allen Varmint collided soon after the start checking Spring Clarkie and Dragon Glass. Silver Salute and Allen Varmint collided approaching the first turn. Spring Clarkie, Dragon Glass and Rhapsody Shadow collided on the first turn checking Rhapsody Shadow. Allen Varmint and Spring Clarkie collided approaching the home turn. Silver Salute and Allen Varmint collided several times from the home turn to approaching the winning post.
