This race was delayed 3 minutes due to Sky Channel commitments at Taree gallops.

My Sirion was slow to begin.  Don't Say That went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (2 lengths).  My Names Rhonda crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Petite Ruby and Chabay Laray.  Burra Flight checked off Carlanna Tegan approaching the first turn.  Chabay Laray, Petite Ruby and Burra Flight collided on the first turn checking Burra Flight and Chabay Laray and severely checking Petite Ruby; Petite Ruby stumbled and tailed off as a result.  Carlanna Tegan checked off My Names Rhonda approaching the home turn.  Don't Say That checked off Carlanna Tegan approaching the home turn.  Don't Say That and Burra Flight collided on the home turn.  Petentim raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Carlanna Tegan checked off My Names Rhonda entering the home straight.  Don't Say That raced wide in the home straight.  Carlanna Tegan and My Names Rhonda collided several times in the home straight.  

Don't Say That was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Petite Ruby was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was taken from Catweasel.

Linda's Gift was slow to begin.  Darley Dollar crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Take Fright and Lynlaw Andy; Lynlaw Andy stumbled and checked Linda's Gift as a result.  Catweasel, Claretown Ace and Darley Dollar collided approaching the first turn checking Darley Dollar.  Take Fright galloped on the heels of Catweasel approaching the home turn.  Catweasel and Darley Dollar collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Lynlaw Andy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Salvatore regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Surf's Magic.  Stewards directed that Surf's Magic be boxed first in future events.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Take Fright became partially dislodged during the running of the event.

Velvet Hammer and Wise Harry were slow to begin.  Cool Springs and Zipping Noel collided soon after the start.  Cool Springs, Zipping Noel, Ayden Jackson, McThumpa, Velvet Hammer and Wise Harry collided approaching the first turn checking Cool Springs, McThumpa and Zipping Noel.  McThumpa and Velvet Hammer collided in the back straight and again approaching the second turn checking Velvet Hammer and Wise Harry.  Wise Harry raced wide entering the home straight.  Velvet Hammer and Zipping Noel raced wide in the home straight.

Delta Miss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to its right hind and right front legs.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Furiosa was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hind quadriceps.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Ernie Old and Big Talker were slow to begin.  Ernie Old stumbled at box rise and collided with Big Talker checking both greyhounds.  Just In Hodges, Emi's Boy Badger and Leroy Tron collided on the first turn checking Emi's Boy Badger and Leroy Tron.  Ernie Old and Big Talker collided on the first turn checking Ernie Old.  Leroy Tron checked off Emi's Boy Badger approaching the home turn.  Emi's Boy Badger and Leroy Tron raced wide entering the home straight.  Big Talker checked off Just In Hodges entering the home straight.  Sunday Sipper checked off Shiny Lad in the home straight.

Tally Ho Dejay was a late scratching at 8:44am  due to a right hock injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
