A pre-race sample was taken from Djay Billie upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre race sample was taken from Daintree Jim.
Magic Diamond, Daintree Jim and Lady Of Ellie were slow to begin. Djay Billie was very slow to begin (6 lengths). Daintree Jim checked off Lady Of Ellie approaching the first turn. Nachos Pav and Lady Of Ellie collided on the second turn, checking Lady Of Ellie, causing both greyhounds to race wide. Nachos Pav and Lady Of Ellie collided on the third turn, checking Nachos Pav which lost ground. Special Unit and Daintree Jim collided in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Whodat Bangin' - the winner of the event.
Djay Billie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained sand burns to the left and right hind leg, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
