A pre-race sample was taken from Soda Man.
Soda Man was quick to begin. Moreira and Bruce Tycoon were slow to begin. Cut Loose Max was very slow to begin. Soda Man and Ultimate Magic collided approaching the second turn checking Ultimate Magic. Weston East, Marley Bale and Tiggerlong Await collided approaching the second turn. Marley Bale and Tiggerlong Await collided on the second turn. Moreira and Bruce Tycoon collided entering the back straight. Cut Loose Max faltered on the third turn and tailed off. Tiggerlong Await, Ultimate Magic and Bruce Tycoon collided entering the home straight.
Cut Loose Max was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left toe, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
