Cardiology trialled in preparation for the Sandown Cup, over the 715m from box 4, weight 28.0kg. The time of the trial was 41.93. A sample was taken from Cardiology.

A pre-race sample was taken from Polijuice Potion.

Emily Jane was quick to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Polijuice Potion.  Miss Rossi and Moonlit Wings collided soon after the start.  Nymeria, Tap Out Rose and Polijuice Potion collided approaching the first turn checking Tap Out Rose.  Emily Jane checked off Miss Rossi approaching the first turn.  Abscond and Nymeria collided on the first turn.  Tap Out Rose, Moonlit Wings and Polijuice Potion collided on the first turn checking Tap Out Rose and Polijuice Potion.  Nymeria and Miss Rossi collided on the second turn.  Abscond checked off Nymeria on the third turn.  Polijuice Potion checked off Miss Rossi on the home turn.

Long View Belle was slow to begin.  Flywheel Magic and Sausage Sizzle collided soon after the start.  Ima A Misha Doll and It's All Talk collided approaching the first turn checking Ima Misha Doll.  Sausage Sizzle and It's A Bird collided entering the back straight checking It's A Bird.  Sausage Sizzle and It's A Bird collided on the home turn checking Sausage Sizzle.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Cut Loose Max engaged in this event on 10 May, pursuant to GAR 79A.

Soda Man was quick to begin.  Moreira and Bruce Tycoon were slow to begin.  Cut Loose Max was very slow to begin.  Soda Man and Ultimate Magic collided approaching the second turn checking Ultimate Magic.  Weston East, Marley Bale and Tiggerlong Await collided approaching the second turn.  Marley Bale and Tiggerlong Await collided on the second turn.  Moreira and Bruce Tycoon collided entering the back straight.  Cut Loose Max faltered on the third turn and tailed off. Tiggerlong Await, Ultimate Magic and Bruce Tycoon collided entering the home straight.

Cut Loose Max was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left toe, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Moreira was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Old Spice.

Buck Forty, Invictus Rapid and Old Spice were slow to begin.  Major Jackpot, One For Me, Slick Ice and Dawkins Bale collided soon after the start checking One For Me and Slick Ice.  Slick Ice checked off Dawkins Bale approaching the first turn and collided with Both Sides Now.  Old Spice checked off Slick Ice approaching the first turn.  Buck Forty and Old Spice collided approaching the home turn.  Slick Ice and Both Sides Now collided entering the home straight.  Buck Forty, Slick Ice and Old Spice collided in the home straight checking Old Spice causing Buck Forty to contact the running rail as a result.

Buck Forty was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left pencil muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Old Spice was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left back muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards issued a warning to Mr T. Priest, Trainer of Old Spice, regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.

Ring The Bell was slow to begin.  Tambay Bale was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Seeking Justice checked off Lioness Lulu on the first turn checking Dr. Leonardo and Lioness Lulu.  Dr. Leonardo raced wide on the second turn.  Lioness Lulu checked off Tambay Bale on the fifth turn.  Alpha Nemesis and Dr. Leonardo collided approachng the home turn checking Alpha Nemesis.  Pagan Midnight and Tambay Bale collided on the home turn checking Tambay Bale.  Alpha Nemesis raced wide entering the home straight.

This race was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to the Vet completing a swab sample.

Panda Bale, Full On Bling and Sally Gardens were slow to begin.  Jayco Bale, Tricky Mover, Full On Bling and Sally Gardens collided on the first turn checking Tricky Mover, Full On Bling and Sally Gardens.  Sally Gardens raced wide on the home turn.
