Steward's Report
Black Sheep went up with the lids at box rise. Sleek Nitro was slow to begin. Huge Storm and Vectis Secret collided soon after the start, checking Huge Storm. Mighty Winston crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Vectis Secret, Black Sheep and Barby Que. Percy's Rebel raced wide approaching the home turn, checking Sleek Nitro and Golden Planet. Black Sheep and Golden Planet collided entering the home straight and in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
Huge Storm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hindleg metarcarsals. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr J Doyle, the handler of Huge Storm regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.
