Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Golden Blaze.
Heavy Pockets was slow to begin. Spring Saviour and Just Curtis collided soon after the start. Spring Saviour checked off Just Curtis approaching the first turn checking Heavy Pockets. Rube's Ablaze, Alexanderia and Golden Blaze collided approaching the first turn checking Alexanderia and Golden Blaze. Just Curtis, Golden Blaze, Amlin's Magic and Chubba Chops collided approaching the home turn checking Just Curtis and Amlin's Magic. Spring Saviour and Alexanderia collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Just Curtis and Chubba Chops raced wide in the home straight.
Heavy Pockets was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing on the right hind leg and a nail injury on the left hind leg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Meeting Conditions :-
Satisfactory Trial Results - Hit The Runway trialled over the 450m from box 8, weight 32.0kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.30, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3/4 length. Hit The Runway was Cleared.
