Kava Magic was quick to begin. Cosmic Geroge checked off Flash Deeds soon after the start. Flash Deeds checked off Cosmic George on the home turn. Lola Allen and Kava Magic collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Monkey Year was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left biceps, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Be Hopeful was slow to begin. Calabasas, Snippyliss and Banjo Barbie collided soon after the start checking Snippyliss. Dazzling Diva, Manhattan Man and Power Sensation collided approaching the first turn checking Power Sensation. Gothamburg checked off Banjo Barbie approaching the first turn. Belena Surf stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (four lengths). Mudslinger, Jack's Lass and Seabrook Indi collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Mudslinger and Jack's Lass. Kathy's Lady checked off Fairway Drive on the first turn. Seabrook Indi and Yaala collided on the first turn checking Yaala. Seabrook Indi checked off Fairway Drive on the home turn. Kathy's Lady and Jack's Lass collided approaching the winning post. Fairway Drive and Belena Surf collided approaching the winning post.

Tom's Gift and Media Street were slow to begin. Star's Big Boy and Media Street collided on the first turn checking Star's Big Boy. Media Street checked off Cotton Bud Joe approaching the home turn. Star's Big Boy raced wide on the home turn. Bambalam Tilly and Dashing Diamond collided in the home straight. Bambalam Tilly checked off Dashing Diamond in the home straight. Bambalam Tilly and Spring Kitty collided in the home straight checking Bambalam Tilly. Tom's Gift checked off We Froff Dat approaching the winning post. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Media Street a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Star's Big Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the letft triceps, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. Lisa Lyons regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Tom's Gift.  Stewards directed that Tom's Gift be boxed first in future events.

Simply Good, One Mississippi and Financial Bonus collided soon after the start checking Simply Good. Blitzen Bell checked of Silver Rockstar approaching the first turn. Silver Rockstar, Call Me Deita and Iroquois Souljah collided on the first turn checking Iroquois Souljah. Iroquois Souljah, Simply Good and Financial Bonus collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Blitzen Bell and Call Me Deita collided entering the home straight checking Call Me Deita. Blitzen Bell and Call Me Deita collided approaching the winning post.

Heavy Pockets was slow to begin. Spring Saviour and Just Curtis collided soon after the start. Spring Saviour checked off Just Curtis approaching the first turn checking Heavy Pockets. Rube's Ablaze, Alexanderia and Golden Blaze collided approaching the first turn checking Alexanderia and Golden Blaze. Just Curtis, Golden Blaze, Amlin's Magic and Chubba Chops collided approaching the home turn checking Just Curtis and Amlin's Magic. Spring Saviour and Alexanderia collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Just Curtis and Chubba Chops raced wide in the home straight. 

Heavy Pockets was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing on the right hind leg and a nail injury on the left hind leg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Conditions :-

Satisfactory Trial Results - Hit The Runway trialled over the 450m from box 8, weight 32.0kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.30, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3/4 length. Hit The Runway was Cleared.
