Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Fine Edge and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 11:01AM due to weight variation (1.4kg underweight) (GAR 39). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Garry Condon was fined the sum of $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Adala Son.
Penny Lane Keats and Adala Son were quick to begin. Salegrey Wy Yung was slow to begin.
Adala Son, Wendy Can't Run, Tiger Jams and Penny Lane Keats collided approaching the first turn. Tiger Jams and Nikita's Blaze collided approaching the first turn. Penny Lane Keats clipped the heels of Adala Son approaching the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Ms Kathleen Fogarty, trainer/handler of Tiger Jams, and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's boxing manners.
