Ying Yang was slow to begin. Alex The Seal and All Inn Lomu collided soon after the start checking Alex The Seal. All Inn Lomu and Britz collided on the first turn checking Britz. Beers On Us and Toby's Taxi collided on the home turn checking Toby's Taxi. Alex The Seal and Toby's Taxi collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Ying Yang which began to give ground approaching the home turn, was tailed off.

Ying Yang was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J.Caulfield, the trainer of Proud Phoenix regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Proud Phoenix last raced on 17 February, 2017. Mr Caulfield stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennel.

Pench was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind leg and a spike wound to the left hind 4th toe. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Spooked Out was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr J.Caulfield, the trainer of Sammi Jay regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sammy Jay last raced on 17 February, 2017. Mr Caulfield stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennel.Mr. Caulfield also declared a new weight of 31.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sammi Jay last raced at 32.8kg.

Crucial Miss and All Inn Amber collided soon after the start checking Crucial Miss. Fancy Drive brushed the running rail on the first turn checking Fancy Drive and Lord Flash Heart. Crucial Miss checked off Sammi Jay on the home turn. Sammi Jay checked off Crucial Miss entering the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Ellis, the trainer of College Queen regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. College Queen last raced on 14th September 2015. Mr. Ellis stated that the greyhound was returning from being on season and left toe surgery. Pursuant to GAR 77A, College Queen trialled over the 425mts from box 1, weight 29.0kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.44, the greyhound won by a margin of  0.75L. College Queen was Cleared.
