Rattle Gate was slow to begin.  Divino and Remain Seated collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds and causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Rattle Gate checked off Justa Jezza soon after the start.  Rattle Gate and Uni Allen collided approaching the first turn.  Uni Allen checked off Proven Chat approaching the first turn.  Proven Chat checked off Justa Jezza approaching the first turn severely checking Uni Allen; Proven Chat fell as a result.  Divino checked off Remain Seated on the home turn.

Proven Chat was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right shin and right monkey muscle.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Maisy was very slow to begin (2 lengths).  Verta Bale and Makikos collided soon after the start.  Iona Everest checked off Verta Bale soon after the start and collided with Makikos as a result.  Kraken Aye Kay and Broadway Belle collided on the first turn severely checking Broadway Belle which stumbled as a result.  Texas Rising and Ima Ebay collided approaching the home turn.  Makikos checked off Texas Rising approaching the home turn.  Zipping Maisy and Kraken Aye Kay collided approaching the home turn.  Texas Rising and Ima Ebay collided several times on the home turn checking Ima Ebay.  Iona Everest checked off Makikos in the home straight.  Zipping Maisy and Verta Bale collided approaching the winning post.

Scanez Elect was slow to begin.  Beyond The Vally checked off Tat Duke soon after the start.  Chelsea Drogba, Fawn Pursuit and Tat Duke collided approaching the first turn.  Cotton Bud Joe, Chelsea Drogba, Fawn Pursuit and Tat Duke collided on the first turn checking Chelsea Drogba.  Cotton Bud Joe crossed to the outside on the home turn and collided with Chelsea Drogba.

Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Coleman, the handler of Keely Allen regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Keely Allen last raced on 21st February, 2017.  Ms. Coleman stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after a fractured left foreleg and right toe injury.

Cracking Joe was slow to begin.  Barnie's Blaster and Dancing Baroque collided soon after the start.  Cracking Joe checked off Keely Allen approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Barnie's Blaster checked off Campeon on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Divirgilio, the trainer of Bull Da Dash regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bull Da Dash last raced on 10th February, 2017.  Mr. Divirgilio stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a spell.

Platinum Impact was slow to begin.  Oshkosh Jay checked off Patriotic Star approaching the first turn checking Bull Da Dash, Oshkosh Jay and Scoop Jackson.  Patriotic Star and Audacious Mickan collided on the first turn.  Tempus Fugit and Pingu collided approaching the home turn.  Oshkosh Jay and Pingu collided on the home turn.  Bull Da Dash and Platinum Impact collided in the home straight.

Suave Odessa was a late scratching at 4:16pm due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
