Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Urana Smacko.
Bolt Cutter was quick to begin. Tiger Ty Vic and Two Dollar Pints were slow to begin. Bolt Cutter and Dudley Fields collided approaching the first turn checking Bolt Cutter which lost ground as a result. Dudley Fields was checked off Urana Smacko on the home turn. Two Dollar Pints raced wide on the home turn and very wide in the home straight. Blue Cat Wombat raced wide in the home straight. Dudley Fields veered in and marred Urana Smacko in the home straight.
Two Dollar Pints was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right chest, a 7 day stand period was imposed.
Bolt Cutter was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Dudley Fields was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Jones the representative of the greyhound Dudley Fields regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Dudley Fields with marring. Mr. Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Dudley Fields was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
