This event was delayed by approximately five and a half minutes, due to a power outage.

Krazy Buzzard and My Territory were slow to begin.  Porscha's Girl, Skye's A Fallen and Rhiannon Royale collided soon after the start.  Porscha's Girl, Skye's A Fallen and Rhiannon Royale collided several times from the 250m mark until the 200m mark, checking Skye's A Fallen.  Porscha's A Girl and Rhiannon Royale collided at the 150m mark.  Rhiannon Royale galloped on Jai Jai Away at the 150m mark, checking Rhiannon Royale.

Sacred Orator was very slow to begin (4L).  Bruree Belle and Off Ya Rocket were slow to begin.  Kelly's Style checked off Floss Mikado at the 200m mark.  Floss Mikado and Gypsy Marlow collided at the 150m mark.  Floss Mikado, Gypsy Marlow and Off Ya Rocket collided at the 100m mark, checking Gypsy Marlow.  Floss Mikado eased approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr David Schwarz, the trainer of the greyhound Floss Mikado, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Floss Mikado was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right foreleg monkey and deltoid injuries, a five day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Floss Mikado with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Schwarz pleaded not guilty to the charge, Floss Mikado was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Astute Glib was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg triangle injury, a five day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Phillip Vogelzang, trainer of Ava's Angel, declared a new weight of 27.3 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Ava's Angel last raced at 28.9 kgs.

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Wishing Angel trialled over the 300m from box eight, weight 26.0 kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 17:27, the greyhound won by a margin of 3.5 lengths.  Wishing Angel was Cleared To Race In Blinkers.
