Stewards spoke to Ms J. Sharp, the trainer's representative for Lektra Magic regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lektra Magic last raced on 1st January, 2017. Ms Sharp stated that Lektra Magic was returning to racing following a change of kennel.

Eltora was quick to begin.  Osakalaka was slow to begin.  Possibly checked off Pomona Sprout soon after the start.  Trew Danger and Miss Peppa Pea collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  MIss Peppa Pea and Lektra Magic collided on the first turn, checking Miss Peppa Pea, Trew Danger and Lektra Magic and severely checking Pomona Sprout and Osakalaka.  Pomona Sprout and Osakalaka collided in the home straight.

St. Pauli was quick to begin.  Pius Thicknesse and Me Bros Bad were slow to begin.  Baloney Bill, Tegxcellent and She's Wicked collided soon after the start, checking Baloney Bill.  She's Wicked checked off Tegxcellent approaching the first turn.  Tegxcellent and Me Bros Bad collided on the first turn.  Pius Thicknesse contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Dashing Dino galloped on the heels of Zou Bisou Bisou on the first turn, checking Zou Bisou Bisou, Dashing Dino, Pius Thicknesse and She's Wicked.  Zou Bisou Bisou and Dashing Dino collided approaching the home turn, checking Zou Bisou Bisou and She's Wicked.  Tegxcellent and Me Bros Bad raced wide in the home straight.

Arcane Mage was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 8, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right thigh, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Gin Lee's Pearl and Brough were slow to begin.  Armageddon Now and Lektra Miss collided approaching the first turn.  Brough and Hedwig collided on the first turn, checking Hedwig and Jameka Gold.  Kolora Alvin and Brough collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Kolora Alvin and Pandora's Galaxy.  Pandora's Galaxy checked off Gin Lee's Pearl on the home turn.

Logistic Kid, Helen Allen and Wrecker One collided soon after the start.  Black Ember crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Cruisy's Empress and Mate Bale and severely checking Logistic Kid, Helen Allen and Wrecker One.  Wrecker One checked off Cruisy's Empress approaching the home turn.  Cruisy's Empress and Helen Allen collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Murrabit Betty was slow to begin.  Hercules Bale checked off Blackpool Alexis approaching the first turn.  Bonna Bale and Blackpool Alexis collided on the first turn.  Hercules Bale and Bonna Bale collided several times approaching the home turn.  Bonna Bale and Murrabit Betty collided entering the home straight.

Hogwarts Express was slow to begin.  Rockstar Max and Scanez Jewel collided several times approaching the first turn.  Sisco General and Cruisy's Lil collided approaching the first turn, checking Cruisy's Lil.  Paws And Go, Rockstar Max and Scanez Jewel collided on the first turn, checking Paws And Go, Scanez Jewel, Sisco General, Cruisy's Lil and Meehan Roy.  Paws And Go checked off Sisco General on the home turn, checking Cruisy's Lil.

Ancarian Lancer was a late scratching at 6.04pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injured right triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Spa Doduo was quick to begin.  Sacred Miss was slow to begin.  Garick Olivander and Spa Doduo collided approaching the first turn, checking Spa Doduo.  Lektra Jenny and Lucky Omar collided on the first turn, checking Lucky Omar.  Lucky Omar crossed to the rail approaching the home turn, checking Lektra Jenny and contacted the running rail as a result.  Amazon Warrior and Spa Doduo collided on the home turn.

Lucky Omar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left stifle.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C Dyett, the representative of Miss Galleywood regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Miss Galleywood last raced on 15th February, 2017 and is returning to racing after an injury. 

Miss Galleywood was slow to begin.  Chardy stumbled soon after the start and collided with African Juju, checking Chardy.  Mask, Quick Session, Nymphadora Tonks and Avatar Minty collided on the first turn, checking Nymphadora Tonks, Quick Session and Mask.  African Juju contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Quick Session contacted the running rail appoaching the home turn.  Mask and Give Me Wings collided approaching the home turn, checking Mask.  Mask and Give Me Wings collided on the home turn.

Quick Session was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations to the left stifle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
