A pre-race sample was taken from Red Lagoon.
Big Black Rocket was quick to begin. Arctic Blaze and Blackalls Lad were slow to begin. Blue Skye Babe, Arctic Blaze and Kraken Zuri collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Arctic Blaze checked off the heels of Blue Skye Babe approaching the home turn. Arctic Blaze and Kraken Zuri collided on the home turn. Big Black Rocket raced wide on the home turn. Blue Skye Babe checked off Blackalls Lad entering the home straight.
