Critic was slow to begin. Amy Bale, Cheekers and Lala Shim collided soon after the start checking Cheekers. Amy Bale checked off Ving Bale approaching the first turn. Cheekers and Crackerjack Jake collided approaching the first turn. Critic, Crackerjack Jake, Cheekers and Amy Bale collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Jake, Amy Bale and Cheekers. Bont's Magic and Lala Shim collided on the second turn and again entering the back straight checking Bont's Magic. Critic and Crackerjack Jake collided in the back straight.
Crackerjack Jake was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder joint. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
