Prince Nando and Miss Spence were quick to begin. Why Not Mick and Groover Groover collided soon after the start checking Groover Groover. Why Not Mick, Rail Rider, Zatmine and Lunchless collided on the first turn checking Lunchless and Zatmine and severely checking Rail Rider; Rail Rider faltered and tailed off as a result. Prince Nando and Miss Spence collided approaching the home turn.
