Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Black Saharrah.
Clone Your Own was slow to begin. Ollie Bale, Dodge The Batten, Skinny Vinnie and Tevez collided soon after the start. Flying Twist crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Ollie Bale, Dodge The Batten and Skinny Vinnie. Ollie Bale, Skinny Vinnie and Tevez collided on the first turn, checking Tevez, Clone Your Own and Black Saharrah and causing Tevez to race wide approaching the second turn. Ollie Bale checked off Skinny Vinnie approaching the second turn, checking Dodge The Batten, Clone Your Own and Black Saharrah. Skinny Vinnie and Mepunga Geordie collided on the home turn.
Stewards directed that a sample be taken from the winner, Flying Twist which was locked away as per the swabbing procedure. Upon retrieval of the greyhound from the kennel, it was established that an error had been made in recording of the kennel seal and subsequently the sample was aborted.
