Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from all runners engaged in this event on 18/11/13 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Shifty Sticka, Proven Maddy, Peter Rocket and Iona Seven were slow to begin. Hawk Alone and Dyna Beth collided soon after the start. Dyna Beth crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Shifty Sticka and Hawk Alone and severely checking Proven Maddy, Kiss Me Ketut, Peter Rocket and Iona Seven. Proven Maddy and Kiss Me Ketut collided approaching the second turn. Kiss Me Ketut checked off Proven Maddy on the second turn. Shifty Sticka and Proven Maddy collided approaching the home turn, checking Shifty Sticka.
Proven Maddy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to the right hock. A 30 day stand down period was imposed.
Samples were taken from the placegetters - Black Magic Opal (1st), Dyna Beth (2nd) and Hawk Alone (3rd).
