Madi Monster was slow to begin.
Madi Monster and Ashanti Reign collided soon after the start. Bally Bessie crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking High Hopes, Horey's Babe, Madi Monster, Val Lea and Ashanti Reign. Bally Bessie, Zelemar Diva, Val Lea and High Hopes collided on the first turn checking Zelemar Diva, High Hopes and Val Lea. Madi Monster galloped on the heels of Horey's Babe entering the back straight severely checking Horey's Babe. Val Lea checked off Ashanti Reign in the home straight.
Horey's Babe was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
