Betty's Return was slow to begin.
Hornsey's Mate and Passing Comment collided approaching the first turn. Chief Tyson and King Enright collided on the first turn checking King Enright which raced wide and severely checked Passing Comment which stumbled and caused Hornsey's Mate to fall as a result. Chief Tyson checked off Mahogany Spirit in the back straight.
Hornsey's Mate was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Passing Comment was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist and righ loin muscle. A 7 day period was imposed.
