Mitch Sparrabush and Dee Bee Gold collided on the first turn checking Dee Bee Gold.  Dee Bee Gold galloped on the heels of Cortex on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Cortex and Dee Bee Cherry collided several times approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Winslow Warrior and Barefoot collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Winslow Warrior.

Cortex was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the head and injury to the left wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Dee Bee Gold was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right metatarsal , no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Geyer, the trainer of the greyhound Dee Bee Gold.   was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right metatarsal, no stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(5), the stewards charged Dee Bee Gold with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(6),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Connemara Flame and Notso Funny was slow to begin.  Grape Picker checked off Connemara Flame on the first turn.  Kalamazoo, Notso Funny and Better Get Going collided on the first turn.  Connemara Flame and Notso Funny collided approaching the home turn.  Kalamazoo and Notso Funny collided on the home turn.  Bally Abbie and Notso Funny collided entering the home straight.

Smash  It, Thunder Won amnd Linkin Grange were slow to begin.  Maybe Vegas, Dyna Perseus and Hurricane Yella collided approaching the first turn.  Dyna Perseus, Hurricane Yella and Lena Allen collided on the first turn.  Smash It checked off Thunder Won on the first turn.  Thunder Won, Hurricane Yella and Lena Allen collided approaching the home turn checking Hurricane Yella.  Thunder Won checked off Lena Allen approaching the home turn.  Maybe Vegas and Dyna Perseus collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Thunder Won was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
