Vanderville Lady and Dynamite Dixie collided approaching the first turn, checking Dynamite Dixie. Vanderville Lady checked off Take Fright on the first turn. Kilty's Tiger and Don's Racer collided entering the home straight. Take Fright raced wide in the home straight. Don's Racer tired over the concluding stages of the event.
