Stewards spoke to Mr G Collins, the owner of Zulu Top, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Zulu Top last raced on 23 November 2016.  Mr Collins stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a change of kennel.  Mr Collins also redeclared a new weight of 29.9 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Zulu Top last raced at 28.3 kgs.

Zulu Top was quick to begin.  Just Crystal was slow to begin.  Zed's A Mystery, Rooey, Duty Sheet and Tye Chilly collided soon after the start, checking Zed's A Mystery, Rooey and Tye Chilly. Zed's A Mystery checked off Rooey approaching the first turn.  Just Crystal checked off Secret Chord on the first turn, checking Tye Chilly.  Duty Sheet and Secret Chord collided on the home turn.  Zed's A Mystery raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr I Bibby, the trainer of Crymelon Jato, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Crymelon Jato last raced on 1 January 2017.  Mr Bibby stated that the greyhound was returning from being on season .

Stewards spoke to Mr D Burkett, the trainer of Victo Bale, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Victo Bale last raced on 15 December 2016.  Mr Burkett stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Izgrev and no illness was detected.  The greyhound was a late scratching at 1:38 pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr M Lowe was fined the sum of $100.

Cruisy's Lil and Awesome Freckles were quick to begin.  Good Boloney was slow to begin.  Heroic Outlaw and Seeking Stars collided soon after the start, checking Heroic Outlaw.  Seeking Stars checked off Duporth Avenue approaching the first turn.  Heroic Outlaw checked off My Name's Polly on the first turn.

One Mississippi, Crymelon Fettle and Spring Alis collided soon after the start, checking Crymelon Fettle.  Spring Alis checked off One Mississippi approaching the first turn.  Little Mix crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking One Mississippi, Don's Shy Girl and Crackerjack Roy, severely checking Magic Reindeer and Crymelon Fettle, and causing Spring Alis to fall.

Spring Alis was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Vanderville Lady and Dynamite Dixie were quick to begin.  Kilty's Tiger checked off Don's Racer approaching the first turn.  Vanderville Lady and Dynamite Dixie collided approaching the first turn, checking Dynamite Dixie.  Vanderville Lady checked off Take Fright on the first turn.  Kilty's Tiger and Don's Racer collided entering the home straight.  Take Fright raced wide in the home straight.  Don's Racer tired over the concluding stages of the event.  

Don's Racer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Still The One trialled over the 450m from box eight, weight 28.6 kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 25:41, the greyhound won by a margin of 5.5 lengths.  Still The One was Cleared.
