Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Brennan, the trainer of Erica Mckenna regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Erica Mckenna last raced on 10 December 2016.Mr Brennan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.
A pre race sample was taken from Capricorn Storm.
In A Rush and Erica Mckenna were slow to begin. Rapid Innings and Cruisy's Empress collided approaching the first turn. Erica Mckenna and Cruisy's Express collided approaching the first turn, checking In A Rush. Capricorn Storm checked off Good Odds Jet approaching the first turn and collided with Tiarna Keeping. Capricorn Storm and Rapid Innings collided on the first turn, checking Capricorn Storm. Good Odds Jet and Erica Mckenna collided on the home turn. Capricorn Storm raced wide on the home turn.
Capricorn Storm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hind pad, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
