Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Good, the trainer of Tonk's Treasure regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Tonk's Treasure last raced on 12th Dec 2016. Mr. D. Good stated that the greyhound was resuming to racing following an injury to the greyhounds back left toe. Mr. D. Good, trainer of Tonk's Treasure declared a new weight of 28.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tonk's Treasure last raced at 30.0kg.
Just Crystal was a late scratching at 9.03am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a left front foot laceration. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Gin Lee's Pearl was slow to begin. Mat's Road and Tonk's Treasure collided several times approaching the first turn. Tonk's Treasure and Gin Lee's Pearl collided on the first turn. Mat's Road and Gin Lee's Pearl collided approaching the home turn checking Gin Lee's Pearl. Mat's Road and Moonrider collided in the home straight. Mat's Road and Tonk's Treasure collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Dillon the trainer of the greyhound Mat's Road regarding the greyhounds racing manners on in the home straight. Mat's Road was vetted and re-vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right deltoid, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) stewards charged Mat's Road with failling to pusure the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Dillon pleaded guilty to the charge. Mat's Road was was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satistactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before future nominations be accepted.
