Steward's Report
Mudslinger was a late scratching at 8:08am due to an injury to the right wrist (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Arctic Blaze.
Five Mississippi was quick to begin. Arctic Blaze and Calabrese Coco collided soon after the start checking Arctic Blaze. Gold Trail checked off Stylish Bree approaching the first turn. Stylish Bree checked off Rube's Ablaze approaching the first turn checking Gold Trail and severely checking Calabrese Coco. Five Mississippi crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Rube's Albaze. Stylish Bree and West Side Jet collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.
Calabrese Coco was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
