Brace For Impact was slow to begin. Taltarni Shiraz and Fancy Bounce collided soon after the start. One Mississippi and Miss Utamurra collided soon after the start checking Miss Utamurra. One Mississippi checked off Molly Walker approaching the first turn checking Blitzen Bell. Molly Walker and Dragon's Den collided on the first turn checking One Mississippi and Dragon's Den. Miss Utamurra checked off Blitzen Bell approaching the home turn. One Mississippi and Dragon's Den collided on the home turn and several times in the home straight checking One Mississippi.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Schembri regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Molly Walker. Stewards directed that Molly Walker be boxed first in future events.
One Mississippi was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
A post race sample that was directed to be taken from Moly Walker was aborted due to a kennel security issue.
