Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr B Gray, the representative of Lady Camelot, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lady Camelot last raced on 31 of October 2016. Mr Gray stated that Lady Camelot is returning to racing from being on season. Mr B Gray, also declared a new weight of 25.9 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lady Camelot last raced at 24.6 kgs.
Dodging Danger was slow to begin. Darb's The Man and Destini Charger collided on several occasions approaching the first turn. Renaldo crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Burra Flight and Dodging Danger. Small Decision, Miss Skye High and Burra Flight collided on the first turn, checking Miss Skye High and Burra Flight. Miss Skye High checked off Burra Flight approaching the home turn. Darb's The Man and Small Decision collided on the home turn, checking Small Decision and Destini Charger. Destini Charger, Small Decision and Burra Flight collided in the home straight, checking all greyhounds.
Dodging Danger was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event seven, it was reported that the greyhound sustained left foreleg monkey muscle and right hindleg quadriceps muscle injuries, a five day stand down period was imposed.
