Steward's Report
Aston Groucho was a late scratching at 6:24pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an elevated temperature. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Hillbilly Boy.
Pepper Emgrand was very slow to begin (4L) and took no competitive part in the event. Urana Smacko was very slow to begin (3L). Hillbilly Boy was slow to begin. Kraken Aye Kay, Light 'Em Ted and Magic Shianne collided soon after the start. Hillbilly Boy and Magic Shianne collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Aye Kay and Light 'Em Ted collided approaching the first turn checking Kraken Aye Kay. Urana Smacko, Hillbilly Boy and Magic Shianne collided on the first turn checking Magic Shianne. Justa Jezza, Hillbilly Boy and Urana Smacko collided on the first turn checking Urana Smacko. Justa Jezza, Hillbilly Boy, Urana Smacko and Magic Shianne collided approaching the home turn checking Hillbilly Boy, Urana Smacko and Magic Shianne. Light 'Em Ted pulled up on the home turn. Hillbilly Boy eased in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Hendy regarding Hillbilly Boy's racing manners entering the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Hendy and taking into consideration the injury and exceptional circumstances pertaining to this incident stewards took no further action.
