Reek was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Zipping Foy and no illness was detected.  The greyhound was a late scratching at 2.14pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. G. McMillan was fined the sum of $100.

Doused In Mud was quick to begin.  Row Tay Tom, Bliss Street and Amaroo Bazinga were slow to begin.  Arvo's McQueen was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Row Tay Tom was checked off Galloping Benny soon after the start.  Galloping Benny and Spritney Beers collided soon after the start checking Spritney Beers.  Galloping Benny, Bliss Street and Amaroo Bazinga collided on the first turn checking Bliss Street which raced wide checking Row Tay Tom which raced wide.  Arvo's McQueen was checked off Amaroo Bazinga approaching the third turn.  Galloping Benny and Amaroo Bazinga collided on the home turn.  Galloping Benny and Arvo's McQueen collided in the home straight. 

Bliss Street was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Hot Genetics was a late scratching at 3.36pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to illness.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Zelemar Zing was quick to begin.  Golden Hand and Rusty Mia collided soon after the start checking Golden Hand.  Harvey Leigh was checked off Rusty Mia approaching the first turn.  Zelemar Zing was checked off Gardot on the first turn.  Golden Hand and Rusty Mia raced wide on the first turn.  Harvey Leigh and Rusty Mia collided approaching the home turn.  Gardot raced wide approaching the home turn and on the home turn.

Mr. M. Davis the trainer of Midfield Maestro declared a new weight of 28.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Midfield Maestro last raced at 29.9kg.

Busta Voe was quick to begin.  Poker Brat and Midfield Maestro were slow to begin.  Oakmont Octum was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Scanez Elect, Flip and Busta Voe collided on the first turn checking Scanez Elect and severley checking Flip and Busta Voe, Poker Brat was checked as a result.  Flip was checked off Scanez Elect on the second turn.

No Money Down and Stephie Keats were quick to begin.  Can't Believe it and Corroboree were slow to begin.  Remember Jess, Titanium Boy and Stephie Keats collided soon after the start checking Titanium Boy and Stephie Keats. Can't Believe It and Corroboree collided approaching the first turn checking Can't Believe It. Corroboree crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Slick Maggie and severley checking Can't Believe It, Titanium Boy and Stephie Keats, all three greyhounds lost considerable ground as a result. No Money Down and Corroboree collided approaching the home turn.

Titanium Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hind toe, no stand down period was imposed.

Stephie Keats was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Locomotion was a late scratching at 2.35pm on the advice of the Club Veterinary Surgeon due to an infected toe on the left hind foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Willowvale Wings was quick to begin.  Van Damm, Oakmont Whisper and Sanz Marlow were slow to begin.  Beyond Manapa crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Kayo King and Cheerful Scout.  Aztec Flash and Van Damm collided on the first turn.  Kayo King and Cheerful Scout collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Aztec Flash was checked off Van Damm approaching the second turn.  Sanz Marlow faltered approaching the home turn and subsequently tailed off.

Sanz Marlow was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock and was humanely euthanased.

Eagleeye Norris, Dr. Dunstan and Lightning Lil were slow to begin.  Chabay Laray and Surfin' Caity collided on the first turn checking Chabay Laray and severley checking Surfin' Caity, Eagleeye Norris was checked as a result. Eagleeye Norris galloped on Dr. Dunstan entering the back straight checking Dr. Dunstan.  Another Value crossed to the rail on the second turn checking Lady Ching. Lady Ching and Lightning Lil raced wide on the home turn. Eagleeye Norris raced wide in the home straight.

Smiley Bynes was quick to begin.  Maximus Warrior and Tyrone Kahn were slow to begin.  Tyrone Kahn was checked off Come To Play soon after the start.  Allen Unther and Barnie's Bullet collided approaching the first turn checking Ding Bale.  Allen Unther and Barnie's Bullet collided on the first turn.  Maximus Warrior raced wide on the first turn.  Ding Bale was checked off Just Hang On on the first turn checking Maximus Warrior which stumbled.  Just Hang On raced wide entering the home straight.  Come To Play eased approaching the winning post and collided with Smiley Bynes.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. L. Hall the representative of the greyhound Come To Play regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Come To Play was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured toe on the right hind foot, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Come To Play with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mrs. Hall pleaded not guilty to the charge, Come To Play was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
