Lainey's Fortune and Fawntastic collided approaching the first turn checking Fawntastic. Backin' Bully and Princess Briana collided on the first turn checking Princess Briana. Lainey's Fortune, Lektra Rival and Kadalex Kid collided approaching the home turn checking Lainey's Fortune and Lektra Rival

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Tartaglia, the trainer of Liam regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Liam last raced on 24th December, 2016 and is returning to racing after a stomach muscle injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Vantaarling, the handler of the greyhound Little Boy Jed regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn and approaching the home turn.  Little Boy Jed was vetted  following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both left and right hind toes, no stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Little Boy Jed with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Vantaarling pleaded guilty to the charge, Little Boy Jed was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Beejay's Lass was quick to begin. Tiggerlong Ray was slow to begin. Manzeene Man and Bacardi Breezer collided approaching the first turn checking Bacardi Breezer and Tiggerlong Ray. Manzeene Man checked off Beejay's Lass on the first turn checking Cosmic Lotus. Tiggerlong Ray and Go Vicki collided on the first turn checking Go Vicki.

Steward spoke to Mr. R. Barron the trainer of Beejay's Lass regarding the greyhounds improved performance. Mr. Barron advised stewards that  Beejay's Lass was second up from a season and she appreciated the wide draw. Stewards accepted Mr. Barron's explanation and directed that a post race sample be taken.
