Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Vening, the trainer of the greyhound No Commitment regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  No Commitment was vetted and after being re vetted following event 3, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged No Commitment with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Vening pleaded guilty to the charge,  No Commitment was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fancy Minter was quick to begin.  Ruby Red Eden and Doused In Mud were slow to begin.  Mysterious Lenny stumbled at boxrise and lost considerable ground as a result.  Row Tay Tom and Ruby Red Eden collided soon after the start checking Ruby Red Eden.  Row Tay Tom and Bad Size collided on the first turn checking Bad Size and Doused In Mud and severely checking Ruby Red Eden which stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result.  Bad Size and Doused In Mud collided approaching the home turn checking Bad Size.  Row Tay Tom raced wide in the home straight.

Ruby Red Eden was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Ronnie's Flyer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid muscle injury and a right shoulder muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Snowden, the trainer of the greyhound Midnight Max regarding the greyound's racing manners on the first turn.  Midnight Max was vetted and after being re vetted following event 11, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right pencil muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Midnight Max with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Snowden pleaded guilty to the charge, Midnight Max was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
