Steward's Report
Peter Knocka, Salegrey Wy Yung and No Commitment were slow to begin. Heard A Rumour checked off Lanky Lurch on the first turn. Mary's Intention and No Commitment collided on the first turn. Gotcha Mate and Lanky Lurch collided on the first turn checking Lanky Lurch. Salegrey Wy Yung crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Gotcha Mate and Lanky Lurch. Gotcha Mate checked off Lanky Lurch on the first turn and stumbled checking Mary's Intention and No Commitment. Peter Knocka and No Commitment collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. No Commitment eased in the home straight checking Peter Knocka.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Vening, the trainer of the greyhound No Commitment regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. No Commitment was vetted and after being re vetted following event 3, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged No Commitment with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Vening pleaded guilty to the charge, No Commitment was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
