Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs M. Dopper, the trainer of Bartemius Crouch regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bartemius Crouch last raced on 11th December, 2015. Mrs. Dopper stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after sustaining an injured back muscle and a toe injury.
Bartemius Crouch and Dontron were slow to begin. Ok Ollie and Running Home collided soon after the start. Ok Ollie, Running Home and Prue Jay collided approaching the first turn, checking Running Home. Ok Ollie and Prue Jay collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Running Home contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result. Prue Jay checked off Golden Fang approaching the winning post. Dontron checked off Boris Lee approaching the winning post.

Running Home was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left thigh and spike wounds to the left shoulder, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Dontron was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
