Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Nero Joe and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 11.17a.m. due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer B. King was fined the sum of $100.
Smooth Rebel and Claretown Louise were slow to begin. Bojack Kahn and It's An Illusion collided soon after the start, checking It's An Illusion. Claretown Louise, It's An Illusion and Mahogany Saphire collided approaching the frist turn, checking It's An Illusion. Smooth Rebel, Rex On and Class Aire collided on the first turn. Class Aire raced wide on the home turn. It's An Illusion and Class Aire collided in the home straight.

Claretown Louise was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions and spike wounds to the left thigh, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
