Steward's Report
Benny Boy Magic was a late scratching at 2:21 pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to dehydration. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
Firey Lomar and Swift Spur were quick to begin. Eric Jay, Star System and Lodge's Express collided approaching the first turn; Star System fell as a result. Firey Lomar, Swift Spur and Merv Bale collided on the first turn, checking Firey Lomar.
Star System was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hock, left hindleg fibula and left and right hindlegs triangle injuries, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Merv Bale - the winner of the event.
