The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Cheap As and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 5.51pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr.B.Mitchem was fined the sum of $100.
Lektra Damage and Altesse collided soon after the start checking Altesse. It Gets Better, Gardot, Senni William and Lucky Brew collided on the first turn checking Lucky Brew, Gardot and Texta Arandt. Gardot and Lucky Brew collided on the home turn. Gardot and Texta Arandt collided entering the home straight.
Gardot was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both hamstrings. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
