Ivy Bale was a late scratching at 6.14p.m.due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Alpha Demeter was slow to begin. Alpha Demeter checked off Demon Bale soon after the start. Bearville Azza crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Jesaulenko, Demon Bale and Berzerk. Jesaulenko, Demon Bale, Alpha Demeter, Berzerk and Greysynd Emma collided on the first turn checking Alpha Demeter, Berzerk and Greysynd Emma causing Berzerk to race wide as a result.
