To The Galo's was vetted prior to the running of this event due to the greyhound slipping its collar and becoming loose in the stir up area. To The Galo's was passed fit to compete. Stewards spoke to Mr P. Smith, Trainer of To The Galo's and reminded him of his responsibilities in ensuring the greyhound is under his control at all times.
Lithgow Panther and Dyna Irminus were slow to begin. Lyka Allen and Amaro Bale collided soon after the start. Emrys and To the Galo's collided soon after the start. Slick Ice and Amaro Bale collided approaching the first turn. Emrys checked off Lyka Allen approaching the first turn. Lithgow Panther and Emrys collided on the first turn. Emrys checked off Dyna Irminus on the third turn. To The Galo's checked off Slick Ice approaching the home turn. To The Galo's and Lyka Allen collided on the home turn.
