Chief Bale was slow to begin. Scorching Fella and Halo Express collided soon after the start checking Scorching Fella and severely checking Halo Express which tailed off as a result. Dozer Tron and Allen Eamon collided several times approaching the first turn. Scorching Fella and Jax Mikado collided approaching the home turn. Scorching Fella and Allen Eamon collided on the home turn severely checking both greyhounds. Allen Eamon and Scorching Fella collided in the home straight. Scorching Fella crossed to the rail in the home straight checking Chief Bale. Allen Eamon and Jax Mikado collided approaching the winning post.
Halo Express was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left hock, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
