Sub Zero Magic and Bide Time were quick to begin. Splash Of Blue and Hey There Barbie were slow to begin. Splash Of Blue and Good Odds Jet collided approaching the first turn, checking Good Odds Jet. Splash Of Blue, Zoltina's Legacy and Luck's Run Out collided approaching the first turn. Sub Zero Magic and Bide Time collided on the first turn. Good Odds Jet and Hey There Barbie collided on the first turn, checking Hey There Barbie. Splash Of Blue and Luck's Run Out collided on the first turn. Splash Of Blue contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Bide Time and Zoltina's Legacy collided on the home turn. Bide Time and Luck's Run Out collided in the home straight. Luck's Run Out eased and collided with Bide Time in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr K Lloyd, the handler of the greyhound Luck's Run Out regarding the greyhounds racing manners in home straight. Luck's Run Out was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left foreleg monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Luck's Run Out with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Lloyd pleaded guilty to the charge, Luck's Run Out was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
